About Flipster: legal entities, licence and leadership

Flipster has a named contracting company and one licensed entity, and it publishes reserve data that you can test yourself. It also leaves gaps. Both lists are here, with the date each source was read.

The licence belongs to Flipster FZE in Dubai. If you use the global platform, your contract is with Flipster Corp, and the site states no regulator for that company. Weigh the licence with that in mind.

Flipster’s own pages disagree on some headline figures: one says “nearly 200 countries”, another “200+ countries”. This page prints no user, country or volume count. Review sites may quote fees that differ from the published table, so use the fee schedule of record for costs.

• A licensed entity with a public register entry: Flipster FZE is licensed by VARA for Exchange Services under VASP Licence VL/26/07/002, status Active on 11 October 2026.
• A named contracting company for the global platform: Flipster Corp, incorporated in the Republic of Panama.
• A Proof of Reserves with daily reserve reports and a Merkle-proof check of your own balance.

Two companies stand behind the Flipster name. Which one you deal with decides which terms, which regulator and which complaints route apply to you.

How the two are related (parent, subsidiary or sister company, and who ultimately owns them) is not published.

The footer of the live site reads “Flipster © 2026 Flipster Corp” and gives no company number, address, regulator or licence number. The two ledgers below print what the sources show and mark every missing cell.

Flipster FZE is licensed by VARA for Exchange Services under VASP Licence VL/26/07/002, issued on 14 July 2026, and is permitted to serve Retail Investors and Qualified Investors.

Flipster FZE names two responsible individuals in its Public Disclosure. They are printed here as published, without photographs or biographies.

Leadership of the wider group is not published. No founder, chief executive, technology lead or security lead is named on the site, so those rows are role placeholders.

Before publication each placeholder needs a name, a dated employment history and a link that verifies it.

Flipster’s published charges are fees: on trades, on withdrawals, on liquidated positions and on one Earn product. It publishes no revenue breakdown, so the share of each is unknown.

Funding is not on the list. Flipster’s perpetual swaps guide says traders “exchange funding fees with each other with no additional costs levied by the platform”.

Rates depend on your tier, the asset and the network. The rows here are examples. Every tier is in the full Flipster fee schedule, and the Flipster exchange overview lists the products those fees apply to.

Every date comes from a published document or from the regulator’s register. Nothing is added from memory or from press coverage.

One pair looks out of order and is printed as published. The UAE Public Disclosure shows “last updated 18 June 2026”, yet it quotes licence reference VL/26/07/002, which the VARA register shows as issued on 14 July 2026. The register was read again on 11 October 2026: Licence Issued 2026/07/14, Status Active.
