Who controls your data
Flipster Corp
The global notice is issued by Flipster Corp, a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Panama. It states: “The controller of your personal data is Flipster Corp.”
Flipster FZE
Under the UAE notice, Flipster FZE acts as data controller. The notice refers to Article 11 of the UAE data protection law (PDPL) and to the requirements of VARA, which licenses Flipster FZE under VASP Licence VL/26/07/002. Its published text still shows the placeholder “[insert contact email]”, so use the two addresses above. Both companies are described under the Flipster legal entities.
What is collected and why
The notices describe three groups of data. The full lists are in the notices.
- Identity and verification data, for onboarding checks and legal obligations.
- Account and transaction data, to provide the service and keep required records.
- Device and cookie data, to run the site and for account security.
Retention, sharing and transfers
Personal data is kept only for as long as necessary, or longer where a legal obligation requires it. Data is shared with service providers and with authorities, as the notices state. This summary gives no retention periods, recipients or transfer wording: read them in the notice that applies to you.
Your rights and how to use them
To use the rights listed in your notice, write to [email protected]. The UAE notice also sets out the right to contact a data protection authority. If a request is not handled as you expect, follow the complaints procedure.
