Flipster fees: trading, funding, deposit and withdrawal fees
Flipster charges 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker on perpetual futures at the entry tier (VIP0), falling to 0.01% and 0.025% at VIP11; deposits are free, withdrawals carry a fixed fee per network (0.0001 BTC on Bitcoin), and funding is exchanged between traders rather than charged by the platform. Rates read from the live fee page on 11 October 2026.
Risk warning Not financial advice. Crypto is highly volatile and may drop in value significantly. You may lose the amounts you invest and your investments do not benefit from any form of financial protection.

Last reviewed 2026-10-11 by Head of Compliance (role placeholder). The maker rate applies to futures only and the taker rate to spot and futures; both are a percentage of the notional value of each fill. A tier needs the volume or the balance shown, and VIP8 to VIP11 list a volume requirement only. The live fee page shows no last-updated date, so this page records the day the schedule was read.
A tier is assigned on one of two tests: your trading volume over the last 30 days, or the 24-hour average balance of the assets in your account, measured in USDT. You need to pass one test, not both. A footnote on the live fee page adds that USD1 balances count toward the balance test.
VIP0 is the entry tier and has no requirement. The balance route ends at VIP7, at 500,000 USDT. From VIP8 upward the fee page lists a volume threshold only, starting at 100M USDT over 30 days.
The fee page does not say how often tiers are recalculated or when a new tier takes effect. If your plan depends on a tier change, ask first: see support for fee questions.
| Volume test | 30-day trading volume, in USDT |
|---|---|
| Balance test | 24h average asset balance, in USDT |
| Tests you must pass | One of the two |
| USD1 balances | Count toward the balance test |
| First step up, VIP1 | 0.5M USDT volume or 10,000 USDT balance |
| Last tier with a balance route, VIP7 | 75M USDT volume or 500,000 USDT balance |
| Top tier, VIP11 | 1,000M USDT volume |
| How often tiers are recalculated | Not published |
The trading fee is charged on perpetual swaps and on spot trades, on every fill. The live fee page gives one formula, and the rate in it is the maker or taker rate of your VIP tier.
Trading fee = filled quantity x executed price x maker or taker fee
Filled quantity times executed price is the notional value of the fill. The fee follows that value, not the margin you post, and it is charged again when you close the position. Opening and closing are two fees.
New to the terms? The glossary has the maker, taker and notional value definitions.
Worked example: 10,000 USDT taker order
- Filled quantity x executed price
- 10,000 USDT
- Taker rate, VIP0
- 0.06%
- Taker fee
- 6 USDT
The same order filled as a maker order at VIP0 is charged 0.02%, which is 2 USDT.
Worked example: a round trip as maker and taker
- Open 10,000 USDT as maker, 0.02%
- 2 USDT
- Close 10,000 USDT as taker, 0.06%
- 6 USDT
- Trading fees for the round trip
- 8 USDT
Both fills at VIP0 and at the same notional value. Taker on both sides is 12 USDT. Funding, spread and slippage are not included. A cost illustration only, not a trading result.
Leverage does not change the fee rate. It changes what the fee means for your account. The fee is a percentage of the notional value, so the less margin there is behind a position, the larger the fee is as a share of that margin.
Take the 10,000 USDT position again, held with 2,000 USDT of margin. A taker round trip is 12 USDT: 0.12% of the notional value, but 0.6% of the margin. The gap widens as the margin shrinks, before any funding payment or price move is counted.
Worked example: the same fees measured against margin
- Position, notional value
- 10,000 USDT
- Margin posted
- 2,000 USDT
- Taker fee to open, 0.06% of notional
- 6 USDT
- Taker fee to close, 0.06% of notional
- 6 USDT
- Fees as a share of the margin
- 0.6%
12 USDT divided by 2,000 USDT. VIP0 rates read on 2026-10-11; the close assumes the same notional value as the open.
Funding is not a Flipster fee. It is a payment between traders: when the funding rate is positive, longs pay shorts, and when it is negative, shorts pay longs. Flipster’s perpetual swaps guide says traders exchange funding with each other and the platform adds no charge of its own. Funding applies only to positions held at the funding timestamp.
The interval and the cap are set per contract. BTCUSDT.PERP exchanges funding every 8 hours with a cap of 0.3000%; the gold contract, XAUUSDT.PERP, every 4 hours with a cap of 0.5000%. The funding guide shows how funding payments are calculated, and the gold and stock contracts are covered under TradFi perpetuals fees and funding.
| Term | BTCUSDT | XAUUSDT (gold) |
|---|---|---|
| Funding interval | Every 8 hours | Every 4 hours |
| Funding times (UTC) | 00:00, 08:00, 16:00 | 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00 |
| Funding cap | 0.3000% | 0.5000% |
| Base interest rate (8H) | 0.01% | 0.00% |
| Platform charge on funding | None | None |
The funding rate changes at every funding time and can be negative. This page prints the published caps, not a current rate.
Liquidation does carry a fee. When the mark price hits the liquidation price, the position is closed automatically, without prior notice, and a liquidation fee of half of the maintenance margin of that position is charged. Margin left above the fee goes to the Insurance Fund.
This is a separate charge from the maker and taker fees in the tier table. The guide explains what liquidation costs and how the liquidation price is worked out; margin modes and limits are in the perpetual futures contract rules.
| Liquidation trigger | Mark price hits the liquidation price |
|---|---|
| How the position is closed | Automatically, without prior notice |
| Liquidation fee | Half of the maintenance margin of the liquidated position |
| Margin left above the fee | Goes to the Insurance Fund |
| If the Insurance Fund cannot absorb the position | Counterparty liquidation can close a profitable position |
| When it can happen | At any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week |
| Asset | Network | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|
| BTC | Bitcoin | 0.0001 BTC |
| ETH | Ethereum (ERC20) | 0.0003 ETH |
| USDT | Tron | 0.3 USDT |
| USDT | Ethereum (ERC20) | 1 USDT |
| USDC | Solana | 0.5 USDC |
| SOL | Solana | 0.01 SOL |
| XRP | XRP Ledger | 0.25 XRP |
Seven examples, not the full list: every supported asset and network is on the live fee page, flipster.io/support/guide/fees. Minimums, maximums and processing times are not in the sources read for this page, so the table has no such columns.
Flipster does not charge a fee for the deposit of assets. A network fee may apply when you send from an external wallet; that is not a Flipster charge. Transfers between Flipster accounts carry no fee.
A withdrawal carries a fixed fee that depends on the asset and the network. The network matters: USDT is 0.3 USDT over Tron and 1 USDT over Ethereum (ERC20).
Before a first withdrawal, read about withdrawal security and custody. The FAQ covers account and deposit questions.
| Deposit fee | None |
|---|---|
| Network fee on a deposit | May apply when sending from an external wallet |
| Transfer between Flipster accounts | No fee |
Customers of Flipster FZE are on a different schedule because they deal with a different company. Flipster FZE is licensed by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), Dubai, for Exchange Services under VASP Licence VL/26/07/002, and its Public Disclosure describes spot trading.
That schedule has a taker fee only: 0.05% at the Basic tier, down to 0.025% at VIP6. The disclosure explains that market makers only submit maker orders and pay no fee, while normal users only submit taker orders. Flipster FZE charges no fee for the deposit of virtual assets.
Our sources give the rates but not the volume or balance each UAE tier needs. The licence scope and the register entry are on the page about the VARA licence of Flipster FZE, VL/26/07/002. How the companies relate is covered under the two Flipster companies.
| Tier | Taker fee | Maker fee |
|---|---|---|
| Basic (entry tier) | 0.05% | Not applicable |
| VIP1 | 0.045% | Not applicable |
| VIP2 | 0.04% | Not applicable |
| VIP3 | 0.035% | Not applicable |
| VIP4 | 0.03% | Not applicable |
| VIP5 | 0.0275% | Not applicable |
| VIP6 | 0.025% | Not applicable |
In the source the maker column states that no fee is charged. This schedule is separate from the 12-tier table at the top of the page.
Costs outside the maker and taker schedule, each with the document that sets it. ROW provided by Flipster Corp where permitted.
Copy trading
ROWUnder the Copy Trading Specific Terms, Flipster may charge service fees, profit sharing, fee commissions or other fees at the Fee Rate that applies to the Master Trader you copy. Fee Rates can change at any time, and the rates displayed are indicative.
USDE minting and redeeming
ROWThe live Earn page publishes one fee for USDE: a service fee on minting and redeeming. It is separate from trading fees. This page prints no Earn rate.
Spot trading
The taker rate in the tier table applies to spot as well as futures. The maker rate is listed for futures only, and the fee page does not give a maker rate for spot orders.
Every number on this page was read from a Flipster page or legal document on the date in the table, and from nowhere else. Rates are for an individual account at VIP0 unless a tier is named.
Not included in any figure or example:
- network fees charged by a blockchain or a sending wallet
- spreads and slippage, which this page does not measure
- funding payments, which depend on the rate at each funding time
- promotional fee credits or discounts
The numbers are checked against the live pages every 30 days, and the page gets an editorial review every 90 days. The review date changes only when a number changes. The editorial policy for sourcing and review has the full process.
One inconsistency on the live site: the home page FAQ says fees “start at 0.025%”. On the fee page, 0.025% is the taker rate of VIP11, the highest tier. A new account starts at VIP0, at 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker.

What are Flipster’s futures fees?
0.02% maker and 0.06% taker at VIP0, the entry tier, charged on the notional value of each fill. The rates fall in steps across 12 tiers, down to 0.01% maker and 0.025% taker at VIP11. A 10,000 USDT taker order at VIP0 is charged 6 USDT. Funding is separate: it is paid between traders, not to Flipster.
Does Flipster charge deposit fees?
Zero: Flipster does not charge a fee for the deposit of assets, and transfers between Flipster accounts carry no fee either. A network fee may apply when you send from an external wallet, and that is not a Flipster charge. Flipster FZE, the UAE company, also states that it charges no fee for the deposit of virtual assets.
How much does it cost to withdraw USDT?
0.3 USDT on Tron and 1 USDT on Ethereum (ERC20), as listed on the live fee page on 11 October 2026. The fee is a fixed amount set per asset and network, so check which network you are sending on. Two more examples from the same list: 0.0001 BTC for a bitcoin withdrawal and 0.5 USDC on Solana.
Is there a fee when a position is liquidated?
Half of the maintenance margin of the liquidated position: that is the liquidation fee in Flipster’s Derivatives Trading Terms. The position is closed automatically, without prior notice, when the mark price hits the liquidation price. Margin left above the fee goes to the Insurance Fund. This fee is separate from the maker and taker fees on this page.
How do I reach a lower fee tier?
0.5M USDT of 30-day volume or a 10,000 USDT average balance moves you from VIP0 to VIP1, where the taker rate drops from 0.06% to 0.058%. Passing either test is enough. The balance route ends at VIP7, at 500,000 USDT; VIP8 to VIP11 list volume only, from 100M to 1,000M USDT. USD1 balances count toward the balance test.
Are fees different in the UAE?
Yes: 0.05% taker at the Basic tier, down to 0.025% at VIP6, and no maker fee. That schedule belongs to Flipster FZE, the Dubai company licensed by VARA for Exchange Services under VASP Licence VL/26/07/002, and comes from its Public Disclosure, last updated 18 June 2026. The 12-tier table on this page is the global schedule.
